Google Joins Amazon in Prying Developers Off Nvidia GPUs
Google has released a developer tool that makes it easier for PyTorch users to migrate applications off Nvidia hardware, following Amazon's similar move. Both hyperscalers are attacking Nvidia's real moat — CUDA and the accumulated tooling around it — rather than competing purely on chip specs. The play is to make portability cheap enough that switching costs stop being the deciding factor in infrastructure deals.
