Baidu Open-Sources ERNIE 5.5 Flash Base with 280B Parameters
Baidu has released ERNIE 5.5 Flash Base as open source. It is a 280-billion-parameter foundation model. That makes one of China's largest AI models free for developers around the world. The release shows Baidu wants more users outside China. It also takes aim at Western companies that lead in open-source AI. A model this big could speed up work on enterprise AI apps.
